I will be visiting these stores on Sunday...I have to use my $10 off catalina coupon by Sunday for Vons. I had purchased two itunes gift cards and was supposed to get a $10 off my next shopping trip from the catalina machine, but it didn't print! So I emailed them and they confirmed I should have received it and sent me a replacement that finally arrived this week. Just another reminder that it is good to stay on top of all the offers you should be receiving.
Sprouts has some good produce deals:
Haas avocados for 77 cents each.
Acorn Squash for $0.88 per lb (I love this time of year - you can bake these up with butter and brown sugar)
Bartlett Pears for $0.49 per lb
Gala Apples, Zucchini, and Broccoli each for $0.88 per pound
Strawberries for $2.50 each
Yellow onions for $0.49 per pound
French Bread for $1.19
Vons: For my vons trip, I am going to be stocking up on some soups and baking items that are on sale. They also have a mix and match sale this week; if you buy 8 or more items included in the sale, you get 50 cents off each item.
Philly Cream Cheese - B1G1, $1 off 2 coupon (printable coupon)
Campbells Condensed Soup - $1 each, $0.40 off 2 (9/11 SS) (doubles to $0.80 on the first coupon)
Campbells Select Harvest Soup - $1.79 each, included in the mix and match sale, $1/3 coupon (printable)
Dark Chocolate Tollhouse Morsels - $3.49 each, included in the mix and match sale, $1/1 (8/21 SS)
Pillsbury Ready-to-Bake Cookies - $2.49 each, included in the mix and match sale, $0.75/2 (9/11 General Mills flyer, doubles to $1)
There are obviously a couple other items I will be picking up for meals like some OreIda Steam and Mash frozen potatoes (also included in the mix and match sale), Mission Tortilla Chips (in the mix and match sale), and Knorr Homestyle Stock (currently priced at $3.49, included in the sale, plus there is a $2 off coupon - this is cheaper than Walmart this week). Also milk, bread, eggs...the normal stuff. Didn't notice if there were any big sales on these items this week - sometimes CVS or Target has good deals on milk, so check and compare the ads on Sunday. I think I have Vons worked out so that I will be saving about 78% this week! We will see if it pans out...
REMINDER: the Farmer's Markets are opening this week! La Quinta's Farmer's Market is on Sunday from 8-12 in Old Town. Always nice to buy local if you can.
Thanks for looking and Happy Shopping!
We moved to Watford City, North Dakota from Southern California at the beginning of winter. This is all about our adjustment to life in a small town.

New Deals in the CV
Hello out there...now that we have settled into a schedule (kind of)...I am going to get back to this!
Some news to share: couponmom.com just started posting a list of prices for Costco, complete with the per unit pricing so you can compare with your grocery store. This is awesome. I am planning to print it out and take it to our local Costco to see if the couponmom's prices are similar to ours (she is in Georgia, so pricing may be different). I am going to use it as a way to build a price list for Costco, so if I finally get to building my own version, I will see if I can update my page here to include it.
I am still using her website as a good tool to build my lists, but things can be different from what we see out here. For example, this week she had that CVS was going to have Gold Emblem candy corn on sale for 99 cents and then there was going to be ECB of 99 cents (limit 1). However, when I looked at our ad, it said it was 49 cents. No ECB's! I had been looking forward to "free" candy corn...but it was a reminder that we can have different pricing out here in Southern California. I was still able to get 3 packs of diapers (for a diaper cake I am making, thankfully), two lip glosses, two drinks (impulse buy with my DS), and two bags of halloween candy for about $35 OOP with $11 of ECB for next time. ;-)
I will post here shortly with my shopping lists for this week...there are some good sales on condensed soup if you need to stock up. Those are always good for cooking and since it is looking like it *might* cool down soon, you might as well be ready! :-) I am going to try to stick to two stores this week: Sprouts and Vons. I have Scrip that I bought from my DD's school that I need to use.
Will share those soon.
Thanks for looking and Happy Shopping.

Target Trip, 9/7
Wanted to do a quick post about my target trip this afternoon. I did two transactions so I could use all of my coupons; Target coupons specifically say that you can only use one per transaction, so that means splitting my trip into two transactions to get all the savings! FYI: when you print coupons from Target's website or from any coupon website (including coupons.com, redplum.com, etc), they will allow you to print twice per computer.
BIG SAVINGS was found by purchasing the Simply Juice drinks in the single-serving size. The La Quinta Target has their small Simply Juices marked at 73 cents each. There is a printable coupon for $1 off any size Simply Juice. That means I had 64 cents to spend on the rest of my order and I got those free.
Many of the back-to-school items are on sale including spiral bound college-ruled notebooks. They were marked 20 cents each, but they rang up at 14 cents each!
There is also a Target printable coupon for $1 off both market pantry pasta and spaghetti sauce together. Well, each was $1, so it ended up that I got pasta and sauce for $1. Add some broccoli and there's a complete vegetarian meal on the CHEAP!
I also had some Bounce dryer bar coupons from Vocalpoint - Target has a deal this week for a $5 Target gift card when you buy 2 P&G items. So I paid a total of $7.98 for two Bounce dryer bars and got a $5 gift card, so my final price after the gift card was $2.98 for two dryer bars! I love those things.
Target also has some coupons for their Up&Up brand cleaning and paper items...used some of those for paper towels and disinfecting wipes for school supplies.
Hope that helps you in your shopping trips...Good luck to you and Happy Shopping!
